Nike Make Something!! – Nike Destroyer Workshop

Nike Make Something!! Nike Destroyer Workshop

In conjunction with World Basketball Festival, Nike has teamed up with Cooper Hewitt to host theMake Something!! Workshops to give back to the community and help discover talent and inspired interest within the younger generation. Just as the name suggests, teenagers can sign up for any one of the series of workshops which ranges from creating music and art to designing sneakers and apparel as long as they reside in the New York area. Teenagers will get a chance to work with Nike designers and renowned artists to gain some hands-on experience in the fields. On July 13th, a group of teenagers took a stab at creating their very own Nike Destroyer Jacket with the help of Nike designers and transformed inspiration from the core countries of the World Basketball Festival into a tangible design. The budding designers also got a chance to meet and hang out with Rudy Gay, star forward of the Memphis Grizzlies. Check out the video recap of the event and if you are interested or know of someone who might be interested in the workshops, more information are available here.
