BMW PAVILION AT OLYMPIC PARK | LONDON

BMW Group has unveiled their Olympic Park Pavilion, located on East London’s Waterworks River that appears to float on the water, with a curtain of water flowing down its glass walls creating a visually stunning tableau. Designed by Serie Architects, the two-story structure has a lower floor exhibition area dedicated to the London 2012 Games fleet, plus a series of informative interactive displays. The top floor features nine individual standalone pavilions displaying current and future BMW vehicles, including the i3 Concept, i8 Concept and the new generation 3 Series Touring. According to Tim Abbott, managing director of the BMW Group UK, “The role of the Pavilion is two-fold — to explain the support we’re providing as the Official Automotive Partner to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, but also to provide a powerful visual symbol of our commitment to the highest standards of innovation in design and sustainability.” View more in the gallery below. via: contemporist
