HELP HEAL NEW YORK
A Benefit for the Victims of Hurricane Sandy
Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Pacha NYC
In response to the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, Pacha New York is proud to announce “Help Heal New York” a benefit for the storm’s victims with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Red Cross and other local charities. The once-in-a-lifetime night of music will take place at Pacha on Wednesday, November 14, and feature a huge roster of over 50 DJs, including international and local stars.
Those performing include luminaries like SUNNERY JAMES & RYAN MARCIANO, SHERMANOLOGY, andDANNY AVILA, as well as New York legends like DANNY TENAGLIA, FRANCOIS K, CEVIN FISHER andHEX HECTOR along with many more announced and unannounced guests.
“We all love this city and have deep roots throughout the region. Even if we weren’t in its direct path, this storm hit us all hard,” says Pacha New York co-owner Eddie Dean. “Everyone jumped at the chance to help out. We’re so gratified that DJs who don’t live in New York, but still have so much love for it, were more than willing to lend a hand as well.”
In addition to donating all profits, the staff of Pacha and all artists are donating their services. From coat check tips to DJ fees, everyone in the building will be there for the sole purpose of supporting the tri-state area, and getting it back on its feet again. Any interested worker is welcome to come down and donate their time. (We even expect some nightlife luminaries to take a turn behind the bar.)
In addition to experiencing a party for the ages, attendees can also bid on rare items and VIP experiences from the all-star roster, like signed artifacts, private dinners (at some of New York’s best restaurants – also donated), and meet-and-greet opportunities.
“This night will be unforgettable not only for the music,” says Pacha’s Rob Fernandez. “It’s a real show of solidarity from the nightlife and EDM industries, and a celebration of New York – a city so vitally important to each.”
