RETNA X SUPRA SOCIETY

Supra has tabbed a longtime friend of brand founder Angel Cabada for the design of a limited-edition Supra Society — namely, renowned Los Angeles-based graffiti artist Retna. Already famous in the graffiti scene for his pieces throughout the streets of L.A., Retna gained national attention through his participation in the “Art in the Streets” exhibition at L.A.’s MOCA. The artist utilized his signature hieroglyphic style to scrawl “Supra” in an allover pattern in white, contrasted against the black suede upper of the towering Society silhouette. Additional details on the shoe include red and blue jersey mesh accents, padded red and blue jersey mesh lining, and a red vulcanized sole finished with contrast white single-wrap foxing. A portion of the shoe’s proceeds will be donated to Plaza de la Raza, a community arts center in L.A.’s Lincoln Heights neighborhood. Limited to just 413 pairs, the Retna Society is set to drop on Saturday, February 9th, at Supra Paris and Supra NYC, as well as Factory 413 and its online store. Factory 413 will also host a special launch event that day, with Retna himself making an appearance.
