LEVIS VINTAGE CLOTHING – BEHIND THE BRAND | BY MR PORTER

MR PORTER has put together a video that gives the viewer a behind the scenes look at Levi’s Vintage Clothing, the premium sub-brand founded in 1999 that specializes in reproduced garments from Levi’s vast archive dating back to 1873, the year blue jeans were born. Narrated by LVC design director Miles Johnson, the video is shot in Levi’s San Francisco headquarters and offers a glimpse of the painstaking process that goes into the creation of an LVC collection. There’s the kind of extensive research into American history that yields the Spring/Summer 2013 “Hot Rod” collection, followed by an involved process in which minute details, like the selection of the right copper rivets or hang tags, are of vital importance to the finished product.
