Even if the weather may not be cooperating, Breva‘s Génie 01 Weather Forecasting Watch will leave you with a sunny disposition. In the time it takes you to unlock your phone, fire up your favorite weather app, and have it refresh, you can take a quick glance at your watch, have an accurate prediction of the upcoming weather, and return to the task at hand with time to spare. With a barometer and altimeter built into its case, which is powered by the brand’s proprietary pressure chamber, the Génie 01 measures altitude and local pressure and translates all this data into a number of easy-to-read indications of what’s to come. Because, afterall, it is a watch, a semi-transparent smokey-sapphire sub dial tracks the hours and the minutes while the 65-hour power reserve indicator sits at the 4 o’clock position to remind you of when the dial will need a good twist. The Breva Génie 01 is limited to 55 pieces in white gold and 55 in a 4N pink gold, with the pink gold expected to retail for CHF 145,000 (USD $153,326) and CHF 150,000 (USD $158,613) for the white gold following their debut at Basel World 2013.
