Honda‘s Acura luxury brand has just unvieled their latest compact crossover concept, the SUV-X at the Shanghai Motor Show. For those of you not keeping score at home, this is the first time that the brand has revealed one of their rides outside of North America, reflecting a shift in their customer base and their design targets for the next decade. Regardless, the SUV-X Concept builds on Acura’s strong vehicle pedigree, adding more dramatic curves, creases, and character than we’ve seen before, including a shield-like front grille and sharp looking fog lamp covers. The rear is equally eye-catching, with vertical taillights similar to the Honda CR-V. Unfortunately, power and other specs haven’t been revealed yet, including its weight, length, and powertrain, as well as interior shots, but we do know that Acura is set to introduce the model in the Chinese market by 2016. You can pour over the latest images of Acura’s edgiest design to date in more detail after the click.
