To reaffirm itself as the provider of “Instruments for Professionals,” watch maker BREITLING just introduced the Emergency II Watch. Like the BREITLING Emergency Watch, which was the first wristwatch to have a built-in emergency microtransmitter during its introduction in 1995, the BREITLING Emergency II incorporated the same distress beacon. However, largely thanks to the advancement of transponder technology and watch making methods, the microtransmitters is now capable of transmitting signals at 406.040 MHz digital frequency to COSPAS-SARSAT network of orbiting satellites. With the titanium case aside, the BREITLING Emergency II Watch comes in three different dial colors – Volcano Black, Cobra Yellow, and Intrepid Orange.
