In an effort to shed its stodgy reputation among buyers of luxury vehicles, Mercedes-Benz will be introducing the 2014 S-Class sedan this coming Wednesday. Ahead of the glitzy press event, the Stuttgart-base company released a teaser video on the all-new model. Since its parent company, Daimler AG, axed the Maybach brand earlier this year, the new S-Class will be taking its place by offering an assortment of amenities to potential buyers, including 10-way adjustable “Chauffeur Seats” option with power foot rest for the rear, Night View Assist PLUS for driving safety, even an Air Balance Package, an automatic air filter and ionizer that dispenses perfume. As for the performance options, it starts with the S350 BlueTEC and a V6 3.0-liter diesel engine, a V6 3.5-liter hybrid for S400, to V8 4.7-liter on the S500. Of course, Mercedes will not comment about any of the details till the press event this Wednesday.
