2013 GUMBALL 3000 – KOENIGSEGG IN SWEDEN TOUR RECAP

Peeling away from Copenhagen at high speed, participants of this year’s Gumball 3000 intercontinental rally made a brief detour at the port city of Angelhom on the west coast of Sweden. But it wasn’t a rest stop. Instead, drivers took the rare opportunity to check out the headquarters of Koenigsegg, one of the world’s foremost supercar manufacturer. Perhaps jaded by the parade of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Koenigsegg, and McLaren, no everyone took notice at the procession till one – a 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss, rode through. With only 75 vehicles made, the Stirling Moss is one of the rarest and most expensive car today. So exclusive in fact, Kanye West purportedly had to borrow one during the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
