Yes, you read that correctly. In his continued effort for world domination, Jay-Z, operating within his newly founded sports agency, Roc Nation Sports, is now licensed to represent players in both Major League Baseball as well as in the NBA. Slight problem (part of the ‘99’ perhaps)… With Jay-Z still holding on to a less than 1 percent share of the Brooklyn Nets, he is unable to rep any active player whilst still being in an ownership position as it is prohibited by league rule. According to sources at ESPN however, the rumor mill has kicked around that Kevin Durant could be Hov’s first hoop client, by which Jiggaman would presumably, and without hindrance, part with his miniscule share of the Nets franchise for a chance to rep the three time scoring champ. Undoubtedly, landing ‘the Durantula’ would be a big get for the young agency that already consists of a solid, and reputable roster that includes Yankees star infielder Robinson Cano, the promising New York Jets Geno Smith, and WNBA guard, Skylar Diggins to boot. Multi-platinum recording artist, clothing line owner turned sports agent who married Beyonce; can’t say it enough, but – not too bad for a kid from Marcy, huh?
