In addition to the unveiling of the Chromecast, the latest news coming out of Mountain View, California, has Google revealing a refreshed version of its popular seven-inch Nexus 7 tablet. The updates include a thinner case — measuring just 8.65mm — and a higher-resolution display rated at 1920 x 1800 (for a pixel density of 323 ppi). There’s also a faster 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, combined with an Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The new Nexus 7 will run Android 4.3, with the 6GB Wi-Fi-only version available for $229.99, a 32GB Wi-Fi-only model for $269.99, and a 32GB 4G LTE (unlocked) version retailing for $349. A launch date has been set for July 30th.
