Here’s a first look at the 2014 rework of the 1980s classic film and iconic Detroit-based crime fighter, Robocop. Directed by José Padilha, the film will feature Joel Kinnaman as protagonist Alex Murphy (Robocop), with Michael Keaton and Samuel L Jackson also taking lead roles in the film. Based in 2028, the film will maintain elements of the original story line, with OmniCorp reconstructing the officer’s body after a near-death experience in order to take on growing levels of domestic crime, but will also infuse modern-day concerns, with talks of drones and free will also put in to question.
