The hairstyles say it all: Jim Carrey‘s bowl cut and Jeff Daniels‘ unruly blond mop signal the return of Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, the heroes of the classic comedy film Dumb & Dumber. Both actors took to Twitter recently to share photos of themselves on the set of Dumb and Dumber To, meaning the long-awaited sequel to the 1994 original is finally in the works. Production began yesterday in Atlanta, and brothers Bobby and Peter Farrelly are once again in the director’s chairs. (Keep in mind Jeff Daniels just took home the trophy for best actor in a drama series at last Sunday’s Primetime Emmy Awards show, so he should be in for an interesting change of pace.) Warner Bros. passed on the project in June but Universal Pictures picked it up. We’ll have to wait and see if it was a wise decision, but in the meantime we’re keeping our fingers crossed.
