With the current revival of “Annie” coming to a close, another musical about a hard knock life will take its place at New York City’s Palace Theater this summer. Centers on several fictional characters and their often tumultuous lives in the inner city, the new musical “Holler If Ya Hear Me” also features the lyrics of the late Tupac “2pac” Shakur. Created by Todd Kreidler, a dramaturg for the great August Wilson, with director Kenny Leon and choreographer Wayne Cilento, 2pac’s mother Afeni Shakur serves as one of the show’s producers. A work in progress for some time, “Holler” is finally ready with previews to start on May 26 and official opening set for June 19.
