For a while there, Sean Cliver represented the middle-finger attitude that made skateboarding so appealing to radicals through the ’80s and ’90s. He did this from off the board, creating iconic, though often irreverent graphics for everyone from Powell-Peralta to World Industries in their respective heydays. Cliver has been recognized by Vans Syndicate, who continues their line of artist collaborations with a limited two-piece capsule. The Mid Skool Pro S – an elevated take on the classic Old Skool silhouette – and the Authentic Pro S have each been iterated in a relatively tame checkered print. The ‘S’ designation not only denotes the Syndicate affiliation, but also the fact that the shoe is completely skateable; both shoes feature premium suede at the toecap. Pick both versions up now at your local Syndicate dealer.
