First, the vital stats: more than 500 horsepower, 1,000 lb-ft of torque, 0 to 60 mph in less than 3.4 seconds, and a top speed of 120 mph, all of which makes the 2015 Renovo Coupe live up to its billing as the first all-electric American supercar. Working under the radar for the past four years, Renovo has been developing the car with boutique automaker Shelby American, using the CSX9000 coupe as the base for the Renovo Coupe. Under the hood are twin sequential axial-flux electric motors that send power to a conventional final-drive differential at the rear axle, with a 30-kWh battery pack good for a 100 mile range. Production is slated to begin in 2015, with an expected price of $529,000.
