With the fall season briskly approaching, Vans preps for the harsh change in weather with the all-new “Mountain Edition” collection of sneakers and apparel. Consisting of two classic silhouettes, the Era and Sk8-Hi, each model has been winterized from the ground up. Starting with a revamped outsole mold that extends its rubber traction for maximum grip in wet terrains, each interior is lined with fleece materials, then secured with a heat retention layer between the outsole and sockliner to keep its wearer’s feet warm and dry. Lastly, all uppers are treated with premium Scotchgard and given a gusseted tongue to repel liquid and moisture. Accompanied by a selection of redesigned Rutherford jackets, the “Mountain Edition” collection from Vans will be available both in-store and online within the coming weeks.
