NIXON – THE PASSPORT SS WATCH

After numerous security checkpoints and connecting flights, all the while suffering the effects of jet lag, the last thing you need is fumbling for your watch to figure out what time it is exactly. Accessories maker Nixon did away with that when it introduced its oversized The Passport timepiece series at last year’s BASELWORLD. This year, it is retuning the design a bit more with The Passport SS. Short for Stainless Steel, the new addition features a large 49mm case with hardened mineral crystal. A triple gasket screw down crown and screw on case back keep the watch’s innards cool and dry, even under 100 meters (328 feet) of water. Encased within is a Nixon developed quartz world time movement. Made in Switzerland, the movement allows bezel control for a quick adjustment of a second time zone. There is also a button for an instant Daylight Savings Time adjustment. Comes with a 22mm custom solid stainless steel 3 link bracelet, the Nixon The Passport SS watch is available in All-Black and Gunmetal. Each retails for $450 USD and is available now via Nixon online store.
