Alexander Wang Launches Denim Line with Campaign featuring Anna Ewers

Alexander Wang continues to make big moves in fashion scene with the launch of his very own denim line featuring German beauty Anna Ewers as the poster girl. Despite his own admission that the jean market is becoming increasingly over-saturated, Wang was adamant about setting himself apart from the rest of the group using his own fit, fabrication and image. The line consists of three cuts in three washes, with variations on light indigo, medium indigo and black. The jeans feature black rivets as opposed to the traditional copper or brass, and a single black leather belt loop which is a variation on the black leather back pockets that appeared on his previous jeans for T by Alexander Wang. The entire line is manufactured in Los Angeles and a pair will run you anywhere from $225 to $295 USD. So far, the provocative shots for the line have already caused some stir with Wang hoping to emulate some of Calvin Klein‘s earlier shoots, which he admittedly hung on his own bedroom wall. Coinciding with Wang’s most successful year to date, the launch of the denim line seemed natural with the fashion imprint’s rapid retail expansion set to reach 21 stores by the end of the year. The Alexander Wang denim line will be available for purchase starting December 8 at the New York store and the U.S. webstore.
