Take a Look Inside Ralph Lauren’s First NYC Restaurant, the Polo Bar

It wouldn’t be a far cry to say the idiom “nothing ventured, nothing gained” best sums up Ralph Lauren’s illustrious career. While being a restauranteur is nothing new to the fashion mogul, his latest dining experience will hope to convey a message closer to his heart: gathering around the dinner table with family and friends. Aptly named the Polo Bar, his first restaurant in New York City is located on the corner of Fifth Avenue and East 55th Street, a mere walk away from the NYC Ralph Lauren flagship store. Featuring a menu that hits close to home, classic American dishes like corned beef sandwiches and a Polo Bar burger are designed to make the patron feel at ease amongst the lavish interior accoutrements: a Henry Koehler polo match-inspired mural and saddle leather seating. The aim was to invoke an air of sophistication with the cordiality of your friendly, neighborhood joint. The Polo Bar is Ralph Lauren’s third restaurant joining RL Restaurant in Chicago and Ralph’s in Paris.
