Inspiration for new car designs comes from many unique places, but this time Rolls-Royce just wanted to celebrate yet another win for their iconic Wraith line. Marking the acceptance of their launch film for the Wraith into the British Film Institute’s National Archive, the luxury car-maker is celebrating with the reveal of a special Film edition taking center stage at this week’s New York Auto Show. Designed to highlight the brand’s heritage in film, this special edition features a silver and Jubilee silver exterior that reminds us immediately of the classic film reels, which is joined with a solid silver Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament. Inside, the film treatment continues with a two-tone Athracite and Casden Tan interior accented with beautify Maccassar Ebony open pore wood trim with aluminum inlays. Under the hood, there’s an action-packed twin-turbo 6.6-liter V12 engine that puts out 624 bhp and 590 lb-ft of torque with the help of an eight-speed automatic transmission. All together, this RR should have no problem achieving critical acclaim.
