The 2016 Lexus ES made its world debut today at Auto Shanghai, arriving with a new facelift. Appearing with what Lexus is calling a “mild cosmetic refresh,” the new ES sees a slightly updated spindle grille, a new set of LED headlamps to go with the L-shaped daytime running lights, a revised tail that continues with the “L” theme, and chrome license plate accenting. Lexus also added in two new 17-inch alloy wheel designs, four new body colors to go along with four upholstery options, and chrome rectangular exhaust tips. For the new interior seat options, buyers can choose from semi-aniline leather, leather, and Lexus NuLuxe materials as well as a line of four new cabin trims. Even the steering wheel and multi-information display get new looks, increasing in size to 4.2-inches. Releasing later this year, the 2016 Lexus ES is going to be offered in China, Russia and Taiwan with a four-cylinder D4 2.0-liter engine while those in the States will continue with the 3.5-liter V6 or a hybrid 2.5-liter four-cylinder.
