In the pursuit of maintaining tradition, Nike has been steadily directing a few special shoes towards the inevitable 4th of July themed craze that ensues around this time every year. With the KD 8 and LeBron 12 marking their appearance earlier this week, Nike has released the complete “4th of July” collection ahead of one of America’s most celebrated national holidays. All rendered in an obvious selection of patriotic colors, Nike has done well to split the palette with each design gazetting a different outsole and upper. The KD 8 is presented with a mix-stitch Flyweave upper and red outsole with Dynamic Flywire cabling, the LeBron 12 features a paneled red Hyperposite upper with transparent blue sole detailing, the Kyrie 1 is constructed from a perforated blue sport mould upper with red sport fabric lining and contoured outsole and lastly, the Kobe X is printed with a tie-dye red and blue upper that leads through to a star studded toe counter and gum outsole. Surprisingly, the “4th of July” collection from Nike Basketball will be available online from June 27 starting at $110 USD.
