The midpoint of the summer is typically marked by, amongst other things,Agenda/ Liberty/ Project arriving in New York. It was – without exaggeration – an average of 72 and sunny in Long Beach at the last outing, with positive skate-centric vibes circling throughout. Where a lackadaisical wave floated throughout California, New York’s stop is necessarily defined by a sense of grind. Amongst people, rising brands aiming to make their impression on street culture and burgeoning photographers – everyone’s conversation in New York starts and ends with the notion of work. It’s this sense of perseverance that defines the East Coast hustle; a mentality in which results, not frivolities, drive attention. The swamp-ish humidity didn’t stop the brightest from New York from coming to socialize, shoot the industry shenanigans and highlight the cultural progressions.
