After months of tremors, the big one finally hit at the Frankfurt Motor Show with the reveal of the Porsche Mission E Concept. Boasting a 600HP dual-electric motor system with a 310 mile range, a 3.5 second 0-62mph time, and all-wheel-drive, this Concept sent shockwaves through the crowds. This Panamera-esque ride from the future also includes the brand’s 800-volt drive platform that includes the Porsche Turbo Charging System that allows its battery to recharge up to 80% in about 15 minutes. Inside, lightweight seating is joined with an equally radical design, including OLED screens in place of buttons and knobs, an eye-tracking system to customize the instrument display, and a holographic display that extends in the passenger side for additional controls for apps, navigation, and temperature control. There’s no leads yet on the potential for some of these features to extend to production cars in the near future, but there’s certainly plenty to look forward to from Porsche.
