In celebration of the 60-year anniversary of the Brooklyn Dodgers’ 1955 World Series championship, as well as his 60th birthday, Futura has joined forces with New Era to design a commemorative fitted cap.
We had the privilege of sitting down with the legendary artist to discuss his love for baseball and New Era, his connection with the Dodgers, and the collaborative process.
Futura disclosed that his parents were fans of the Brooklyn Dodgers while he was growing up, so to be able to link up with New Era to celebrate the team was an admitted honor. He aimed at keeping the hat classic and pure, while implementing his creative touches and iconography throughout.
The Futura x New Era collaboration will be available at KITH Brooklyn beginning November 6 and Union LA from November 8.
