You may already know that street artist FUTURA has an eye for eccentric and colorful design, including his work on New York’s Houston and Bowery Walls, but what you may not know is that the iconic artist is also a diehard baseball fan. Born the same year that the Brooklyn Dodgers won the 1955 World Series, New Era x FUTURA take the occasion to mark the 60th anniversary of the feat and his own 60th with a special set of 9Fifty and 59Fifty caps. Already the official provider for the MLB, New Era took care of the canvas while FUTURA proceeded to accent it with his own symbolism and iconography inside and out, always with an overall push to keep the design low-key, subtle, and pure.
