visvim’s 2016 Fall/Winter Collection Lookbook

Hiroki Nakamura’s visvim dazzled at NYFW with a fall-winter collection based on the concept of “Introspection,” and now the Japanese lifestyle brand is back with a lookbook showcasing some of its upcoming wares. As always, Nakamura’s eye is set on artisanal details and vintage craftsmanship; the collection’s sakiori jacket in particular pays Frankensteinian homage to the Edo period of Japanese history — when cotton and silk were unknown commodities in Japan and cotton was the only available textile — by piecing a jacket together out of other materials in the collection; other standouts include a firetruck-red toggle coat, puffer jackets, and denim overalls. The brand’s Social Sculpture jean gets some shine, as do the newly introduced Roland Jogger running shoe, the Huron Moc, and a run of Horween leather boots. Five panel and ten-gallon hats round out the looks.

Keep an eye out for release and stockist info as it becomes available.
