Carhartt WIP Pays Tribute to Detroit House

Carhartt WIP decided to pay homage to its roots by teaming up with fellow Michigander Kenny Dixon, Jr., b.k.a. DJ Moodymann, for a capsule collection inspired by the latter’s Detroit-proud record labels, Mahogani Music and KDJ REcords. The collection features the Detroit Soul Skate and Set U Free T-shirts and a limited-edition sling bag trolley designed specifically to protect vinyl and DJ gear in transit. WIP stores will also carry an exclusive, unreleased remix of a Moodymann track from 2001 and a brand-new track called “5800 Cass Ave.” on a 7-inch vinyl.

The collection is available on February 26 at Carhartt WIP stores, selected retailers and online.
