December 2015 saw Ressence launch its first ever dive watch, the Type 5, featuring the Belgian brand’s trademark oil-filled case, water resistant to up to 100 meters. For Baselworld 2016, Ressence will debut the Type 5BB, finished in a striking all-black design. While the first edition was constructed from a case of naked grade 5 titanium, this mostly monochromatic follow-up, sharing the same 46mm titanium case, features a coating of Black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon). The contrast between the matte black case and the glossy black dial emphasizes the oil inside the case, and the replacement of traditional hands with floating discs indicating the hours, minutes and seconds. A black leather strap completes the look.
