Over the weekend Dime and Vans held their annual “Glory Challenge” skateboarding competition in Montreal where the most important skateboarders in the world battled it for–you guessed it–glory. In doing away with the classic skateboarding contest formula, “Glory Challenge” is all about entertainment through unique competitions like the “Foam Pit Challenge,” “Valdez Challenge,” “Gangster Challenge,” “Sword Challenge,” “Speed Challenge” and “World Championship Game of SKATE.” The contest welcomed 40 handpicked skateboarders, all competing in a series of challenges in order to take home a prize purse of more than $750,000 USD.
