The event will also feature live music provided by High and Mighty Brass Band and Argonaut & Wasp.

High and Mighty Brass Band – Co-mingling band members from New Orleans, NYC, and a host of other cities across the globe, this dynamic krewe has the unique ability to combine classic New Orleans Funk and R&B with more modern Afro-Beat and Hip Hop influences.

Argonaut & Wasp – They make the type of music you’d hear on a dreamy summer night that you never want to end. It’s a sound that’s neither rock nor electronic but it nods to both. A product of a deep, yet eclectic musical upbringing, the duo effortlessly draws from funk, indie and dance to create a zeitgeist sound that’s truly their own.

The first annual Brew Hop 5K + Craft Beer Festival is coming to Randall’s Island Park on Sunday, September 18th. The event will feature unlimited tastings from 15 craft breweries around the Greater New York Area, such as: Brooklyn Brewery, Sixpoint Brewery, SingleCut Beersmiths, Third Rail Beer, Bronx Brewery, Gun Hill Brewing Company, Rockaway Brewing, KelSo Beer Company, Alphabet City Brewing, Blue Point Brewing Company, Great South Bay Brewery, Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, and more.

The Brew Hop is a brand new event that gives attendees the chance to combine their love for running and craft beer, aiming to build a bridge between two seemingly unrelated yet perfectly compatible pastimes. The day starts off with a 5K race (Registration @ 10am | Race @ 12pm) followed by a festival from 12:30pm – 4pm for attendees to indulge in the best beer New York City has to offer. In addition to the beers, runners will receive a souvenir pint glass, beer koozies, and congratulatory medal at the end of the race with their registration! For those interested in solely partaking in the post-race festivities, there is a ‘Beer Fest Only’ ticket available for purchase. VIP tickets are also available for purchase, which will grant access to a private lounge area with wait staff to get beers for you, free massages, private bathrooms, exclusive food and beer offerings, and a limited edition poster. The post-race festival will feature live music, lawn games, brewery row, art installations, local food trucks, and seating areas. In addition to the participating NY breweries, attendees will also enjoy beverages from Crabbie’s Ginger Beer and SpikedSeltzer.

With excitement towards the upcoming festival, Co-Founder of Peak Projects, Joey Garofalo explains, “It’s only fitting that the home of the most iconic races and some of the best beers in the country has an event that ties them all together. We’re honored to be able to contribute to New York City’s craft beer and running scenes and hope this event will become a staple in both communities for years to come.”

The event will benefit City Harvest, the world’s first food rescue organization, by donating 10% of the proceeds directly to the charity. There will also be a food drive on-site for attendees who wish to bring nonperishable food items to donate. City Harvest pioneered food rescue in 1982, and this year, will collect 55 million pounds of excess food to help feed the 1.4 million New Yorkers struggling to put meals on their tables. Through relationships with farms, restaurants, grocers, and manufacturers, City Harvest collects nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste and delivers it free of charge to 500 soup kitchens, food pantries, and other community food programs across the five boroughs. City Harvest takes a long-term approach to hunger relief through its Healthy Neighborhoods initiative. For more information, please visit
