Netflix To Turn Spike Lee’s ‘She’s Gotta Have It’ Into a Series

The very first Spike Lee joint is coming to the small screen. Netflix announced that it has ordered a ten-episode series based on Spike Lee’s very first film, 1986′s She’s Gotta Have It. According to Netflix, the series will be a contemporary update of the indie classic, which introduced the world to Lee’s now iconic b-boy sneakerhead, Mars Blackmon. And best of all? Spike himself will be onboard to direct the entire series while also serving as executive producer alongside his wife and production partner, Tonya Lewis Lee.
