NIKE x JORDAN BRAND CELEBRATE SERENA WILLIAMS’ RECORD 23RD MAJOR

NIKE x JORDAN BRAND CELEBRATE SERENA WILLIAMS' RECORD 23RD MAJOR

Over the weekend, Serena Williams beat her older sister Venus in the Australian Open final to clinch her 23rd record grand slam title. She has now surpassed Steffi Graf in the Open era lead, and NikeCourt and Jordan Brand are marking the accomplishment with two new styles of the women’s NikeCourt Flare, both featuring color blocking inspired by the Air Jordan 1. One is finished in the original “Banned” Air Jordan 1 colors, while the second takes on a black and pink palette, taking cues from Serena’s 2016 on-court attire in NYC. Both pairs are adorned with the iconic Air Jordan Wings logo on the collar. The celebratory pack is rounded out by a girls’ Air Jordan 1 collaboration, similarly finished in pink and black and embellished with Serena’s personal logo on the tongue and heel. The kicks come in a special commemorative box, adorned with the Jumpman logo on the left lid and Williams’ “SW” trademark on the right.

The SW x Air Jordan footwear collection launches January 28th at Nike Soho. The dual colorways of the women’s NikeCourt Flare AJ1 drops January 30th at SNKRS in the U.S., Western Europe and Japan. The girls’ Air Jordan 1 Retro High SW launches January 30 at nike.com in the U.S. only.
