For Spring 2017, HUF is once again embracing its subversive skate and street culture roots, presenting a new collection drawing inspiration from punk, reggae and dancehall movements of the late ’70s and early ’80s. The assortment is in turn filled with vintage patterns, strong iconic motifs and bold graphic detail of that era, re-contextualized into contemporary apparel silhouettes.
Utilizing premium materials, we find HUF implementing the aforementioned design touches on styles such as the Kingston Jacket, Shots Bomber Reversible Jacket, Souvenir MA-1 Jacket, 45 RPM Long-Sleeve Tee, Aggro Football Tee, and Bob Long-Sleeve Shirt. High-density puff prints, flocking, appliqué, and embroidery are then explored throughout tees and fleece, while vibrant overdyes have been applied throughout the entire collection.
On the footwear side of things, HUF debuts the Hupper 2 Lo for the new season. The Hupper 2 Lo features a refortified, higher-profile 3D foxing tape for longevity, grip, and stability, as well as PERFSHOCK insole technology for comfort.
To coincide with the streetwear imprint’s Spring 2017 lookbook, they also announce a new website redesign.
Look for the collection to arrive at HUF retailers as well as online beginning February 9.
