Diddy is bringing Bad Boy Records long storied history to the big screen this year. The CEO/mogul has announced the Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: The Bad Boy Story documentary, which is set to premiere at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. Directed Daniel Kaufman, the Live Nation presentation will an in-depth and behind-the-scenes look at the iconic Bad Boy Entertainment label, which is currently celebrating its 20-year anniversary. The film will also chronicle the two-night anniversary extravaganza that took place at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center last May, honoring the late Notorious B.I.G.
“I am blessed to be introducing our film at the @Tribeca Film Festival,” said Diddy in a statement to Billboard and on his personal Instagram page. “Tribeca brings the biggest names in entertainment and culture together with visionaries from across industries to celebrate the power of storytelling. There is no better place to share the story behind the Bad Boy movement and this unprecedented musical event!.”
The documentary will delve into the label’s influence on music, fashion and pop culture, plus take viewers back to its start in Harlem and Brooklyn. Lil’ Kim, Mase, Faith Evans, Mario Winans, 112 and more will appear in the film.
