Bose has been targeted with a class action lawsuit alleging that the audio tech company is spying on users. According to Fortune, a complaint filed by a man named Kyle Zak’s below complaint, claims that the Bose Connect app is collecting the user’s private data and sending it to third-party data mining companies without the consent of the user. Bose Connect is a phone app that pairs the company’s wireless speakers and headphones with the user’s phone. The suit says Bose has violated laws regarding privacy invasion, fraud and deceptive practices, such as the Wiretap Act, the Illinois Eavesdropping Statute and others.
