The New York-native has been out-and-about with the Made In U.S.A. proposition over the last handful of months, having worn the shoe during the most recent ComplexCon. Tyler Mansour (@arab_lincoln on Instagram) delivered the best look yet at the next New Balance by Bembury, suggesting the pair is to drop soon.
Monsour’s latest photo-op showcases Bembury’s first 990v2 proposition in all its glory: porous mesh sets the stage for a medley of leather, suede, and chenille panels, falling in-line with past work, while introducing a breath of fresh air to both New Balance and Salehe Bembury’s catalogs. Long-haired suede covers the majority of the upper, opting for a similar salmon color as the aforementioned mesh and the midsole underfoot. Accents on the toe box and profile “N” logos deviate from their surroundings in a rich purple hue that’s surely inspired by the outdoors, just as most of the 30-something-year-old designer’s work after Versace. The pair features several fingerprint graphics on-brand with Bembury’s Spunge label; is accompanied by sets of extra laces; includes a cork insole; and arrives in a custom box that nods to the collaboration’s inspiration. Enjoy detailed shots of the shoe ahead, and expect newbalance.com and beaspunge.com launches before the year ends.
