Black Thought Brings Bars To ‘THE TONIGHT SHOW’ With A Great Performance

Black Thought served as the musical guest on The Tonight Show earlier this week, where he performed “Glorious Game” from his El Michels Affair joint project of the same name. No stranger to The Tonight Show being that he’s a member of its house band, The Roots frontman took centerstage on Wednesday (April 27) to shine with his hard-hitting raps. Black Thought — rocking a black leather jacket, aviator sunglasses, and a beanie — was flanked by the cinematic soul group with leader Leon Michels on the flute and KIRBY providing her angelic vocals at the rapper’s side.

“You all would be safe but y’all are deep fake/ Too fake for me to waste time/ Too two-faced for me to say ‘Fine’/ I’m the one-man army, Ason/ The baseline is we just ain’t the same kind/ Gloves and mask off, time to blast off/ Baton I’ll pass off, rhyme your ass off,” Black Thought rhymes paying homage to the late ODB.
