Essentially the most durable synthetic leather known to man, ballastic rubber is no secret to those serving in the police or armed services as it is common in their vests and helmets. But this latest option fromNIKEiD allows you to pair either black or iguana ballistic leather overlays with a tight criss-crossing ballistics mesh inlay with your own sidewall, collar height, outsole and hang tag.
Take a look at two of the over 750 new unique combinations that have been added to the thousands already available on NIKEiD after the jump.
Few sneaker artists have made a name for themselves on the same level as SBTG, aka Mark Ong, a man who rose through the ranks of online forums to colossal customizations and even his own release with Nike SB. On this conceptual pack, titled Deer Valley Titans, SBTG gets together with the Philippine sneaker spot Titan and UNSCHLD, a Philippine clothing label. The release is based around a fictional youth basketball team called the Deer Valley Titans, a squad of underdogs and misfits. The capsule runs deep, with hand painted custom editions of the Blazer Mid, Dunk High, and Air Jordan III Retro all included, boasting a unique swirling camo print and the typical SBTG branding. Beyond that the pack includes bags and hats, all of which feature the Deer Valley Titans logo. Hit the jump for a full look at the items included in the SBTG x UNSCHLD x TITAN collabo, as well as the full release info.

Last week we told you about the Levi’s global marketing campaign, Go Forth, that celebrates creativity and the pioneering spirit. As part of the launch, Levi’s opened a print workshop in Mitte, a borough centrally located in Berlin, open to anyone who wants to collaborate and create. As Rebecca van Dyck, global chief marketing officer for Levi’s puts it, “What I love about the workshop is it takes a big global concept and makes it very local, right down to the neighborhood.” The Levi’s Print Workshop is open now until August 17th. After the jump, watch a video of the opening event — there were food, drinks and live music, and plenty of modern day pioneers with their creativity on display.
